These are a few of the postcards from Dr. Joan Iversen’s suffrage collection. Most of these are anti-suffrage postcards and illustrate beautifully the opposition to women having the right to vote. In reading them over, I’ve been struck how I can hear the echos of the themes from some of these cards in the political discourse of today.
